Product Features

Excellent corrosion resistance
A dense and stable oxide film (TiO₂) will naturally form on the surface of our products. The thickness of this film is about 2-5 nanometers, which can effectively block the corrosion of media such as acid, alkali, salt water, and chloride ions. Compared with the local corrosion problem of stainless steel flanges in highly corrosive environments (such as seawater, chloride solutions, hydrochloric acid gas, etc.), Gr2 Titanium Forged Flange hardly corrode in long-term operation, and are especially suitable for highly corrosive scenes such as petrochemicals and marine engineering.
Lightweight material
The density of titanium is only 4.51 g/cm³, which is about 60% of steel, but its specific strength (strength/density) is much higher than that of copper, stainless steel, and carbon steel. Our products can withstand higher mechanical loads and internal pressures of pipelines without increasing the weight of the structure.

Good thermal stability
Titanium can withstand continuous high temperatures of up to 600°C at normal pressure, and there is no significant performance degradation at high temperatures. Titanium Flange have a low thermal expansion coefficient (about 8.6 × 10⁻⁶/K) in high temperature environments, which means that they are not easy to deform, leak, or fatigue damage under thermal stress.
Long service life
Due to its excellent chemical stability and mechanical durability, the service life of our products in harsh environments generally exceeds 20 years. Compared with the 5-10 year life of ordinary carbon steel flanges, Gr2 Titanium Forged Flange can maintain structural stability under the combined effects of strong corrosion, moisture, high temperature, high pressure, etc., which can greatly reduce the replacement frequency and operation and maintenance costs, and the total cost of long-term use is lower.

FAQ
Q: What is a Gr2 Titanium Forged Flange?
A: A Gr2 Titanium Forged Flange is a forged or cast component used to connect pipes, valves, pumps, and other equipment in piping systems. Made from titanium or titanium alloys, it provides high strength, corrosion resistance, and lightweight performance.
Q: Why is titanium used for flange manufacturing?
A: Titanium offers exceptional corrosion resistance, especially to seawater, chlorine, and acidic environments. It is also strong yet lightweight, making it ideal for high-performance and corrosive applications.
Q: How does a titanium flange compare to a stainless steel flange?
A: Titanium flanges are lighter and significantly more corrosion-resistant than stainless steel. However, they are more expensive and are typically used where performance and longevity outweigh cost concerns.
Q: Are Gr2 Titanium Forged Flanges suitable for high-temperature environments?
A: Yes, certain titanium alloys (like Grade 5) can operate effectively at temperatures up to 400–600°C, depending on the application. However, for extreme heat, specific material selection is essential.
Q: How are titanium flanges installed?
A: Titanium flanges are typically welded or bolted into piping systems. Proper handling and compatible fasteners (often titanium or non-corrosive alloys) are crucial to avoid galvanic corrosion.
Q: What are the dimensional standards for Gr2 Titanium Forged Flanges?
A: Gr2 Titanium Forged Flanges are manufactured according to standards such as ASME B16.5, DIN, EN1092, and JIS, depending on the application and region.
